Baby Naming Ceremonies
A baby naming ceremony is the perfect way to introduce a newborn to your family and friends, welcoming him or her into your lives, and strengthening the bonds which already exist between you.
Within the ceremony parents can make promises to care for their child as best they can for as long as the child may need it, to thank grandparents, and to acknowledge siblings in their new role as older brother or sister. Often rose petals are sprinkled over the baby’s head while the child’s chosen names are announced, and any reasons behind the choice can be shared.
As an alternative to a christening, this ceremony gives parents the opportunity to appoint Godparents or Mentors and formally acknowledge the role they will play in the child’s life.
Renewal of Vows
At any time, a married couple may choose to renew their wedding vows to each other. The occasion may be to celebrate a special anniversary or just be an excuse for a party!
It is a way of saying, “I love you” once again and the ceremony offers a rare opportunity to share the couple’s love story and life history with family and friends.
A renewal of Vows ceremony may contain all the elements of a traditional wedding ceremony, without the legals, and the original vows can be said again or new vows can be created reflecting their journey through life together.
Sometimes it is a meaningful ceremony to celebrate the life or someone who is gravely ill, and to acknowledge continuing importance of their marriage and family.
Funerals
The death of a loved one can leave us with feelings of sorrow, loass and grief, but as a last gift to that person, their life can be honored in a ceremony that reflects their life, their loved ones and their legacy.
Through my role as your Celebrant, a special bond often develops between us. I believe that this relationship should be on-going through all the touch points of our lives, and if requested I can create a meaningful and beautiful funeral ceremony for a family member or friend of my couples
